Inspired by some of the greatest 16bit adventure titles of all time, Hazelnut Bastille is a charming retro adventure that will appeal to veterans and new. So now we need something else that can truly do a classic such as that justice, but what? Well, how about Hazelnut Bastille, from developers Aloft Studio? The retro-styled homage to 16-bit adventures and JRPGs seems like a natural fit to carry on Secret of Mana’s legacy.

Hazelnut Bastille isn’t due out until mid-2019 for the PC and Switch, but already looks like it may easily be worth the wait. Ok, so here is the second part of what will likely end up being 6-7 updates focused nearly exclusively on the overworld for HB (since it is a rather large and involved task that has a massive number of facets to its design and implentation).
